Wake up to the sounds of birds and monkeys instead of traffic and fireworks at this beautiful property located less than 4 miles (6 km) from the center of Granada, but worlds away from the concrete and congestion of the city. This property offers a great opportunity for a small eco-friendly bed and breakfast, like on the isletas, but with the convenience of being on the mainland.
This property consists of 3 different buildings and in total has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The main house is 2 stories and has a living room, a screened-in modern kitchen, back patio, and large storage area. There are two hillside cabanas, as well as plenty of space to expand. There is a well with year round clean, fresh water and a 2500 liter water tank offering strong, consistent water pressure, and solar panels for your electricity. No water or power outages! There is a modern septic system that allows you to flush toilet paper, unlike most toilets in Nicaragua. The land is half of a manzana (almost an acre) of rich soil, with many varieties of beautiful plants and mature fruit trees like plantains, avocado, coconut, mango, limes, guanabana, among others, as well as space for a vegetable garden. It is green year round thanks to its location near the lake and many trees.
Tucked next to Lake Nicaragua near the isletas, the property has a hill that is the highest point in the area, on which could be built a tower to have 360 degree views of the lake, isletas, and Mombacho volcano . The location outside of town and many large trees give it a much more comfortable climate and cool enough at night to sleep without air conditioning. It is located a short walk from Marina Cocibolca, offering fishing, water sports, and isletas day trips, as well as several lakeside restaurants in the area. It even has a large rock on the property with an ancient, pre-colombian petroglyph of the constellation Pleiades, giving the property it’s name Napopo. This property comes furnished, including brand new mattresses and stainless steel kitchenware.
